The whole Carmen is an old construction, with more than 150 years of history, which has just been totally rehabilitated. It’s located in the historic district of Realejo, known for beeing very quiet, the variaty of tapas bars you’ll find, and just 15 minutes walking from the Alhambra and the city center, with public transport nearby.

Getting the keys was a problem - and after calling the person who later delivered the keys she tried to shift the blame onto us for being late - we were 30 minutes behind planned schedule due to our train, and had been communicating with the check-in lady around our time of arrival. It turned out she was at another property letting someone else in, and then had terrible problems getting to our location due to "lots of road works" (none of which seemed to exist from what we saw of Granada). Please can this company hire more staff when their properties are busy to allow people to check in without having to wait on a roadside (with no pavement) in 40 degree heat. It was totally unprofessional and a very unpleasant experience. There were three in our group aged > 80 years, and waiting on a road in 40-degree heat is especially not comfortable for them.

The apartment was of a high quality with a nice patio. Its location was good, if a little awkward to get to.
The apartment was rather dark. We did not get the benefit of the light unlike the upper apartment which cost less, I believe. I thought our apartment was rather expensive and also lacking in some kitchen equipment.

We adored this home and all of its spacious rooms. My family could spread out and it was decorated so nicely…I have no doubt they used a decorator. The rooms were cool and the beds were so comfortable! The owner really out a lot of thought into the details. The pool on site was such a bonus to our stay as we have 3 boys and it was hot!! and the outside verandas were wonderful! A truly lovely property.
My only wish would be for it to be closer to city center. The walk to city center and shops was about 20 mins. However, if you are looking for a place that is quiet and not in the bustle of the city, this place is perfect!

Das Angebot sieht so aus als wäre es 1 Wohnung mit Pool, es sind aber 2 Wohnungen übereinander, die sich Pool, Innenhof und Garage teilen. Checkout war für mittags vereinbart aber um 08:30 haben uns die Putzdamen (die das andere Apartment reinigen sollten) rausgeklingelt, und sich beschwert (unhöflich), dass Sie nicht in der Garage parken können und wir hierfür unser Auto rangieren sollten. Nötig war das nicht, da genug Platz für ein zweites Fahrzeug war, immerhin reichte der Platz zum ein- und ausfahren für unseren Nachbarn mit dem wir uns die Garage geteilt hatten. Der Pool direkt neben einer Schule, ist dann etwas laut wenn Pause ist und es kann auch mal eine Getränketüte über den hohen Zaun fliegen.

التدفئة ضعيفة في الشناء كان هنالك اعمال اصلاحات في الفناء الخارجي منذ الصباح الباكر
casa muy céntrica, camas muy cómodas y todo muy limpio
We received no written information whatsoever about how to get to the apartment, and also there was nothing in the flat about facilities, how to use appliances, local attractions, etc. We struggled to work out how to use the stove for example (had to use Google!), and getting to the flat was very difficult. The owner needs to supply clear instructions on how to get to the flat. Also, the internal temperature was too warm for us (coming from England!), and there was no way to change this as the AC did not work. We asked for fans, but they could not be provided.

Die Aussicht und die schwierige Zufahrt
Tot estava perfecte. Les habitacions, la cuina menjador, els 4 banys... Tot molt net i decorat amb molt de gust. No falta cap detall ni cap utensili (cafetera, liquadora, torradora, 4 secadors...) La piscina ha estat genial també ja que hi hem anat en ple estiu. Ha superat les nostres expectatives. És un apartament gran ideal per a famílies o tres o quatre parelles. Està a 10 minuts caminant de la plaça Isabel la catòlica. Molt molt recomanable.
L´unic petit problema ha estat el parking que es comparteix amb l´altre apartment. L´entrada i sortida quan hi ha dos cotxes és complicada; especialment si un dels dos és gran (nosaltres viatjàvem amb una furgoneta). Però res que no s´arregli parlant amb els veïns i col.laborant. Nosaltres ho vam solucionar molt ràpid. Rocío, la noia que ens va entregar les claus també ens va ajudar moltíssim en això i en tots els dubtes que vam tenir.

Todo en general, decoración y calidad de instalaciones (cocina, duchas, aire acondicionado) fantásticas. La zona de la piscina también está genial. Muy cerca del centro.
Its worth mentioning that the pool is a shared pool with another unit, rather than a pool for the unit itself. Otherwise everything was comfortable and great
No me gustó el sistema de estacionamiento compartido.

Gracias por su comentario María! Debe enternder que el jardín y la piscina son zonas bastante grandes al aire libre y se hace complicado su mantenimiento, más aun en días de lluvia y viento. Entregamos siempre las llaves con los jardines limpios y acondicionados, pero si llueve se escapa por completo de nuestras posibilidades. De todas formas, agradecemos sus palabras que nos ayudan a mejorar!
La casa estaba impecable, no faltaba ningún detalle. Lástima no ser verano para poder disfrutar más de la zona de la piscina.
La casa está amueblada con muy buen gusto y dotada de todos los elementos que la hacen muy confortable, contando además con todos lo electrodomésticos necesarios. Hay además detalles de exquisitez como son los libros existentes, entre los que destacaría : Granada y Las rutas del legado andalusí.
En definitiva le diré, como seguramente sabe, que el N.Y. Times acaba de proclamar a Granada la ciudad más bonita del mundo, pues creo que en esta ciudad pueden sin duda recomendar el Carmen de S. Ignacio como un alojamiento singular, no se van a equivocar. Gracias por todo Juan López Martos.
